Caecilia: “Da bugs eatin me. I shoo dem away.”
…shoos bugs away for a while…
Caecilia: “Papa, I’m not food.”

Karol: (with his finger in the air) “…speaking of toothaches-”

Papa: “We weren’t speaking of toothaches.”

Karol: “?”

Papa: “You can’t say ‘Speaking of something’ without first having been speaking of it. We need to be speaking about it first before you can say that.”

Karol: “Trees do no have teeth, so they do not get a toothache-”

Papa: “Good job-”

Karol: (with his finger in the air) “Now, speaking of toothaches…”

Caecilia: “Der are flowers on my dress. I pick dem and put dem dere.”

(later)

Mama: “Caecilia, what’s on your dress?”

Caecilia: “Flowers. Dey have to hold on tightly.”

Margaret: “I just saw a beach tree with lights around it.” Note that she did not say “beechtree”, she actually saw a palm tree.

Karol: “Stop talking about Curious George. That will make us not think about Jesus.”

Karol: (while picking pecans) “There are a hundred right here! I wish I had five hands!”

Karol: “I can’t wait to see my beautiful three girls and my handsome little baby boy!”

Karol: “If a thunderstorm touches you in heaven it won’t hurt you. But if one touches you on earth you could get all melted. It would hurt you.”

Karol: “Is this banana soup? Banana soup is yummy!”
